James Benny Shackleford Jr, 58, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on February 15, 2016 in the Critical Care Unit at St. Francis Hospital with his family by his side.

Jimmy was a carefree person who had battled illness for many years. His love for his dog Brownie, his buddy, fishing, cartoons, and his daily walks to buy bubble gum and candy are just a few recent memories. He loved his beautiful granddaughters, Jamijah and Jaylah, and they loved their “papa Jim bean”. They always knew that visits consisted of, bubble gum, candy, and cartoons. That was a special part of their visits.

“We all will remember his grin and his chuckle”.

He is survived in death by his mother, Dixie Lee Roberts Borgmann, Laurie Schrader- mother of sons: James (wife Applotine) Schrader, Jordan Schrader, James (Jamie) Shackleford, Chris Shackleford; six grandchildren; brothers, Terry (fiancee Dana), Mike (wife Debi), Chuck (wife Amanda), Tim (wife Kassondra); sisters, Sherry (husband Rick), Tammy (husband Tim).

“Special friends to Remember for 30 plus years”- Tim Fields, Kirby (wife Karen) Curbeaux, and Bob & Patty Clark.

Funeral Arrangements: A Cremation with no service- a celebration of Life to spread Jimmy’s ashes will take place at a later date. We pray for comfort and healing for all family and friends.
